Badminton Vlaanderen Organises School initiations in the week predecessing the Yonex Belgian International, the biggest badmintontournament of belgium.

All students of the third grade from every base school of Leuven are welcome to join us on Monday the 9th of september 2024, Wednesday the 11th of september or Thursday the 12th of September for a half-day badminton initiation session and games. Twelve badmintoncourts are available for the students to create an unforgettable experience. The sessions on Wednesday and Thursday will be played outside. In case of bad weather conditions, it might be cancelled. Every school may enter the venue to watch some top level Badminton games for free.
Badminton Vlaanderen, Moev and the sportservice of the city of Leuven will provide a quality driven guidance.

10 for schoolsports

This initiative is driven by the concept – 10 for schoolsports -, more specificaly actionpoint 3: “Sports during schoolhours”.

Participation

• participation in the initiation for schools costs 3 euros per student. Included in the price are: participation in the sporty half-day, a small souvenir and a drink.
• The school can choose how many classes it wishes to participate in the event. You only have to make a choice between morning (from 9 a.m. to 11.30 a.m.) or afternoon (12.30 a.m. to 3 p.m.).
• changing rooms are provided during the event.
• all participating students and their supervisors are insured via Badminton Vlaanderen (civil liability and physical accidents).
