Yesterday we got to see many talented players for for their spot in the first round of the main draw. Today they are joined by some amazing players to start our main draw.
We start the day off with some bangers. Julien Carraggi wil be getting court 3 started. In 2024 he was able to take home the gold for a home crowd, in 2025 he went home with silver, and we can’t wait to see what he does next. Carraggi’s 2024 final opponent Mads Christophersen is another name to look out for.
In the woman’s singles, also on court three, we get to see European champion Kirsten Gilmour show of her skills. And a few matches later you can find last years winner Nalbantova. Clara Laseaux will be representing Belgium in the women’s singles. A beautiful story to look out for is Chloe Coney who will be back on the court exactly a year after welcoming her daughter into the world.
The men’s doubles could be rebranded towards the brothers league with the brothers Grimley as well as the brothers Kral. Let’s see which family makes it the farthest!
Ciara Torrance & Julie Macpherson are back in woman’s double and after a final last year they will not be giving in this year. From last year’s quarter final we have Katherine Vang & Mette Werge and Amalie Cecilie Kudsk with her new partner Simona Pilgaard. For Belgium Lieke Van Parys and Fae Boonen will be showing of their best!
In the mix double we find one part of a sister duo with Evgeni Panev & Gabriela Stoeva. They will be joined by Brian Wassink & Debora Jille who are currently 65th in the world ranking. Although last year they had to go home after round one so it will be interesting to see what they’ll do this year. Back from last years final are Simon Krax & Amelie Lehman who will definitely be striving for another one.
With that we welcome you to another day at the YonexBI 2026, let the main draw begin!
